The effect of miR-204 on mRNA expression profiles of primary mouse chondrocytes

mRNA profiles of primary mouse chondrocytes transfected with miR-Ctrl or miR-204 mimics were generated by mRNA sequencing. This study provides insights into the role of miR-204 in chondrocytes. Overall design: For primary culture of mouse chondrocytes, cells were isolated from femoral condyles and tibial plateaus of 5-day-old ICR mice. Mouse chondrocytes were transfected with miR-Ctrl or miR-204 mimics for 24 hours. mRNA profiles of miRNA-transfected chondrocytes were generated by mRNA sequencing, using Illumina HiSeq 2500 system.
