AI-Assisted Translation Workflows: Survey Questionnaire and Aggregate Responses from Kuwait University Translation Students

This dataset accompanies a study of undergraduate translation students’ use of and attitudes toward AI-assisted translation at Kuwait University. It contains aggregate results from 52 consenting submissions collected after the Spring and Summer 2026 Translation and Technology courses. The questionnaire covers AI use across translation and related tasks, including research, terminology, transcription, subtitling, drafting, post-editing, proofreading, and publication preparation. It also examines students’ views on professional AI use, translation courses, learning, verification, ethical concerns, and conventional dictionaries. The dataset includes four files: • Response Distributions.csv: Counts and percentages for all five response levels across 14 AI-use frequency questions and 60 attitude questions.• Response Summary.csv: Combined counts and percentages for “Often” and “Very often,” or “Agree” and “Strongly agree.”• Questionnaire.csv: Question wording, response formats, and answer options.• Data Dictionary.csv: Definitions of the columns and response coding. Percentages use 52 as the denominator and are expressed on a 0–100 scale. Individual responses, demographic breakdowns, and open-ended answers are not included. The questionnaire file includes the wording of open-ended questions, but not students’ answers.
