Vegetation Survey Dataset of the Altun Mountains-Qaidam Basin Desert Zone (2019–2021) contains vegetation survey information from 140 sampling sites, divided into herbaceous and shrub categories. This dataset is derived from the vegetation and soil surveys conducted in the Altun Mountains-Qaidam Basin Desert Zone between 2019 and 2021. The data includes quadrat number, geographic coordinates (longitude and latitude), altitude, as well as survey data from shrub and herbaceous quadrats. Survey items cover species composition, species fractional coverage, density, average height of species, average crown width of shrubs, and average biomass for both herbaceous and shrub vegetation. All data were collected via field investigations, ensuring reliable data quality. This dataset provides foundational data for the stable maintenance and conservation of the desert ecosystem in the Qaidam Basin.
