资源简介:
This dataset is derived from the survey "Disabled Persons' Childhood and Level of Living", conducted by Jan Tøssebro and Hege Lundeby at NTNU. The background for the project is the political alterations of the services directed towards persons with strong physical or mental disabilities. Integration and normalization have been central political goals during the last decades. The objective has been to move away from a situation where disabled persons becomes segregated and marginalized in society. Since then, wide-ranging reforms have been implemented. Today's norm (also reflected in legislation) is that disabled persons should be able to live a life that is as normal as possible. Thus, it is exciting following the "post-integration generation", the children growing up after the integration and normalization period.
The research project aimed to follow the same children throughout their childhood (panel survey). Therefore, two separate surveys are conducted: The first one in 1999, whilst a follow-up survey was conducted in 2003. This data contains both surveys. The survey from 1999 is documented in a separate file.
