Growth and persistence of an aerobic microbiome in Wyoming bentonite MX-80 despite anoxic in situ conditions

This dataset contains all raw data used for the manuscript "Growth and persistence of an aerobic microbiome in Wyoming bentonite MX-80 despite anoxic in situ conditions"

Raw data of enumeration via cultivation (colony forming units per gram dry Wyoming bentonite; most probable number per gram dry Wyoming bentonite), and raw sequences of 16S rRNA gene V4 region sequencing. The dataset also includes the 16S rRNA bioinformatics pipeline and the used 16S database to map the obtained sequences on as well as a metadata file in Excel and CSV format.
Figures 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 were created with the data and/or the scripts provided in the respective subfolders.
