This dataset includes processed tetrode and LFP recordings from the medial entorhinal cortex (MEC) of freely behaving young (3–4 months) and old (>28 months) mice; bulk RNA-sequencing raw data from the MEC of three young (3–4 months) and three old (>22 months) mice; a list of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between young and old mouse MEC, derived from 10x Visium spatial transcriptomics analysis; and 2-photon calcium imaging recordings from freely behaving Bglap3-Cre mice undergoing chemogenetic inhibition. All datasets are referenced and used in the accompanying article.
