Validation of Online Histrionic Personality Scale Indonesian version

The dataset for this study consists of responses from 838 Indonesian social media users who completed an online survey. It contains sociodemographic information such as age, gender, education level, duration of daily social media use, and the platforms most frequently accessed. The main component of the dataset is the Indonesian version of the Online Histrionic Personality Scale (OHPS), which includes all item-level responses on a five-point Likert scale. These data support analyses such as Rasch modeling, item reliability estimation, and confirmatory factor analysis. In addition, the dataset includes item-level responses from several external psychological instruments used for convergent and nomological validation, namely the PBQ-SF Histrionic Subscale, the Brief Histrionic Personality Scale, the Desire for Being Liked Scale, the Need for Social Approval Scale, and the Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale. Derived variables such as total scores, Rasch person logits, and standardized factor scores are also included to facilitate advanced psychometric and structural equation modeling analyses. Several data quality indicators—such as response-time flags and checks for patterned responding—are provided to ensure the integrity of the dataset. Overall, the dataset is organized in a rectangular structure with 838 rows representing participants and derived variables necessary for reconstructing the full psychometric evaluation.
