The measured and simulated water storage dataset for lakes in Qinghai Province includes four sub-tables:
1. The first sub-table contains time-series lake area data monitored from 2000 to 2019 using remote sensing image data;
2. The second sub-table presents the estimation results derived by combining the time-series lake area data and the area-storage capacity equation;
3. The third sub-table stores the area-volume equations of lakes simulated via the 3D underwater lake simulation model;
4. The fourth sub-table contains key parameters and results of measured and simulated water storage for 24 typical lakes in Qinghai Province, including the simulated water depth, maximum water depth, reference water level used in the simulation, and the corresponding lake area for each individual lake.
