Dataset supporting the master's thesis "Soil responses to Natural-System conversion to Agriculture: Contextual variation, potential functional trade-offs and implications for Ecosystem-Service pathways"
收藏资源简介:
This dataset supports the master’s thesis “Soil responses to Natural-System conversion to Agriculture: Contextual variation, potential functional trade-offs and implications for Ecosystem-Service pathways”. It contains the coding grid compiled from the literature corpus used to analyse soil responses following the conversion of natural and semi-natural systems to agriculture. The dataset includes soil-indicator observations, study-level contextual variables and the information used for the descriptive, contextual, temporal and spatial variability analyses. Soil indicators are organised according to five soil functions: carbon storage and organic-matter cycling; physical stability and rooting support; nutrient storage and cycling; water storage and flow regulation; and biological functioning and habitat.
