全球水汽源-汇关系及空中流域数据集包含:(1)40年(1979-2018)季节尺度全球1°×1°水汽源-汇关系矩阵;(2)基于全球水汽源-汇关系矩阵生成的全球空中流域矢量及1°×1°栅格数据。AMSSRAB数据集依托目前广泛使用的三种大气水汽追踪模型WaterSip、UTrack以及WAM,采用多模型平均方法计算得到季节尺度全球水汽源-汇关系并将其转换为关系矩阵,利用RAS算法及全球降水和蒸发数据对其进行校正。此外,依托校正后的全球水汽源-汇关系矩阵,采用复杂网络分析方法识别得到关系矩阵中的特征流动社区模式,据此识别得到具有较强持续性且水汽自循环率较高的模式,将其定义为空中流域,并利用GIS技术将其矢量化和栅格化,得到全球空中流域数据集。将AMSSRAB数据集中的全球水汽源-汇关系数据与近年来发布的两种全球水汽源-汇关系数据集进行比较,结果表明该数据集在栅格尺度和区域尺度上均与两种数据集具有较高的一致性。该数据集通过多模型平均方法,充分利结合现有大气水汽追踪模型的各自优势,以应对现存水汽源-汇关系数据集的单一模型依赖问题,可为大气水循环研究提供可靠数据支撑。此外,该数据集提供的全球空中流域数据可为大气水循环以及水循环全过程研究提供新视角和区域划分方案,可为进一步揭示大气水循环和水循环全过程的系统结构及特征提供数据支撑。

The Global Water Vapor Source-Sink Relationship and Atmospheric Water Basin Dataset consists of two parts: (1) A 40-year (1979-2018) seasonal-scale global 1°×1° water vapor source-sink relationship matrix; (2) Global atmospheric water basin vector data and 1°×1° raster data generated based on the aforementioned global water vapor source-sink relationship matrix. The AMSSRAB dataset is developed based on three widely adopted atmospheric water vapor tracking models, namely WaterSip, UTrack and WAM. It utilizes a multi-model averaging method to compute the seasonal-scale global water vapor source-sink relationships and convert them into a relationship matrix, which is then calibrated using the RAS algorithm along with global precipitation and evaporation data. Furthermore, based on the calibrated global water vapor source-sink relationship matrix, complex network analysis is applied to identify characteristic flow community patterns within the matrix. Patterns with strong persistence and high water vapor self-recycling rate are subsequently identified and defined as atmospheric water basins. Then, GIS technology is employed to vectorize and rasterize these basins, thus producing the global atmospheric water basin dataset. By comparing the global water vapor source-sink relationship data from the AMSSRAB dataset with two recently released global water vapor source-sink relationship datasets, it is demonstrated that this dataset exhibits high consistency with both datasets at both grid scale and regional scale. This dataset fully leverages the respective advantages of existing atmospheric water vapor tracking models via the multi-model averaging method, addressing the issue of single-model dependence in existing water vapor source-sink relationship datasets, and providing reliable data support for atmospheric water cycle research. In addition, the global atmospheric water basin data provided by this dataset offers new perspectives and regionalization schemes for studies on the atmospheric water cycle and the entire water cycle process, and supplies data support for further revealing the systematic structures and characteristics of the atmospheric water cycle and the entire water cycle process.
