资源简介:
This dataset details a six-month research placement with the National Justice Museum undertaken as part of a PhD between January and July 2021. The purpose of the placement was to create an interpretative Twine game for an upcoming exhibition project at the Museum entitled 'Ingenuity, Creativity and Hope'. The research used a research-through-design methodology in which the design thinking process formed the basis of the approach to game development. An autoethnographic methodology was also used when writing up the placement as part of the PhD Thesis. The project received ethical and data collection approval from Nottingham Trent University prior to commencement. The dataset is divided into four folders: 1. Research Notes This folder contains the placement research diary which details the day-to-day activities and researchers field notes. It also includes the Game Development Process Documentation which includes materials such as design principles drawn from the wider research, brainstorming documents, game ideation, game planning and development notes, and text revisions. 2. Meeting Minutes and Transcripts This folder contains the Information and Consent Form for participants. It also contains Fortnightly Meeting Notes which include meeting minutes of meetings undertaken online during the placement, and progress presentations given by the researcher during those meetings. 3. Prototype Game Files This folder contains the HTML files of the game prototypes developed across the course of the placement and accompanying materials. The HTML files can be opened to play in any browser or imported to Twine to view the code. 4. Hard Craft Game File This folder contains the final version of the placement game 'Hard Craft' and accompanying materials which were handover over the National Justice Museum for use in their exhibition program. The HTML file 'index' can be opened to play in any browser or imported to Twine to view the code. It also includes handover documents which accompanied this process and training / informational Twine documentation created for the National Justice Museum.
