We compared bacterial colonization of the Arabidopsis phyllosphere in FlowPots using three distinct soil-derived input communities. Plants were grown using the peat-based FlowPot gnotobiotic plant growth system. Total DNA was extracted from the shoots of four-week-old Arabidopsis and the V5-V7 regions were amplified and sequenced to obtain bacterial community profiles.
