Intrauterine infection of pregnant CD1 mice with ZIKV on embryonic day 10 induces placental damage and fetal abortions. To investigate mechanisms of placental damage and fetal demise, we performed mRNA sequencing of placentas from mock or ZIKV infected pregnant dams at 48 hours post infection. Resulting data may provide insights into placental mechanism of Congenital Zika Syndrome.
