#Sonar Opinion Polls: #-------------------- #From August 1989 Sonar has regularly carried out a number of opinion polls, i.e. surveys of attitudes and habits of life of the adult Danish population. The opinion polls have been carried out approx. 10 times a year, and each opinion poll includes about six different subjects as well as the question of the respondent's voting intention at a hypothetical general election on the day of the interview. # The opinion polls have been carried out in collaboration with the daily paper Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten. In addition, the individual opinion polls are found in DDA-1691 to DDA-1700. # #This survey (DDA-1692 Sonar Opinion Polls 1991: February) deals with the following issues: #Party preference; the Gulf War (military action against Iraq versus further negotiations, possible ways to stop the war); attitude to Denmark's contribution (the corvette Olfert Fischer and a team of doctors and nurses); attitude to Denmark's involvement in case Iraq attacks Turkey (which is a NATO country); the influence of the Gulf War on the respondent's life; the Tamil case and the role of Erik Ninn-Hansen; attitude to refugee family reunion in general; preferred type of dwelling; attitude to the proposed compulsory treatment of drug addicts; preferred 'models' for the cure of drug addicts; knowledge of and attitude to the Nordic Council; attitude to including the Baltic states (Esthonia, Latvia and Lithuania) in the Nordic Council; and European co-operation within the EC versus Nordic co-operation
