Abstract: In order to meet the requirements of 5K heat load for ITEＲ high temperature superconducting current lead test， according to the IO design requirements，the shunt components of ITEＲ high temperature superconducting current lead were designed and optimized． In order to check the heat load performance of shunt components，the material parameters were studied， physical model for shunt component was established，then theoretical value was calculated，and heat load also was tested using the Enthalpy potential method． By comparing these results，the theoretical value and test value are almost undifferentiated and IO design requirements is wet． The successful application of ITEＲ shunt components will provide technical guidance for the design，manufacture and test of CFETＲ high － temperature superconducting current lead shunt components．
