- Summary The organizational archive contains information about nationwide Norwegian organizations. Data were collected using electronic questionnaires in the spring / summer of 2005. The database contains updates of several variables in the older organizational archive (with data from 1964, 1971, 1976, 1983 and 1992). - About the Organization Archive - Contents The population is nationwide organizations in Norway. The gross sample for the first round of questions corresponds to the organizations that participated in the organizational survey in 1992. The database contains approx. 200 variables that cover, among other things: Organizational structure and resources: membership numbers, elected bodies, employees, income, geographical structure, membership in other organizations and organizational changes Social contacts: contact with authorities, participation in public committees and hearings, media contacts and international contacts The questions about public contacts most often include the categorization of contact frequency, but there are also several variables that affect the organizations' assessment of the importance of various contacts. - Background The organizational survey 2005/06 was conducted by the International Research Institute of Stavanger AS (IRIS, formerly Rogaland Research) and NSD. The study is part of a research project on "Scandinavian Corporatism at a Crossroad?", Funded by the Research Council of Norway. Research leader Hilmar Rommetvedt at Rogaland Research in Stavanger was the responsible project leader.
