README – Dataset Description This dataset accompanies the manuscript entitled "Development and Psychometric Assessment of a Health Action Process Approach-Based Scale for Smoking Cessation in Patients with Head and Neck Cancer." It includes responses from 108 participants recently diagnosed with head and neck cancer (ORL), who completed a set of self-report questionnaires assessing smoking behavior and psychosocial determinants of smoking cessation. The dataset is provided in Excel format (.xlsx). It is organized as follows: · Columns A to E: Sociodemographic information – gender, age, marital status, employment status, and cancer diagnosis. · Columns F to Q: Responses to the Cigarette Dependence Scale (CDS). · Columns R to AC: Responses to the SEQ – Self-Efficacy Questionnaire for Tobacco Abstinence. · Columns AD to BD: The 27 items of the newly developed HAPA-based scale adapted to tobacco use, including risk perception, outcome expectancies, action self-efficacy, maintenance self-efficacy, recovery self-efficacy, behavioral intention, action planning and coping planning. · Columns BE to BR: Responses to the Consideration of Future Consequences Scale (CFC). · Columns BS to CF: Responses to the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS). A codebook describing the categorical variable codings and item labels is provided in the second sheet of the Excel file.
