Precipitation from the LFM Boundary Layer?
收藏官方服务:
资源简介:
The LFM model can produce precipitation in two ways--through "synoptic scale" processes and through a convective adjustment. In the "synoptic scale" process, excess moisture is precipitated from any of the lower three layers of the model whenever one of the layer relative humidities exceeds a seasonally adjusted saturation criterion. At this time of year, the threshold is 96%. Precipitation falling through unsaturated layers is evaporated in these layers until they are saturated and will not reach the ground until the boundary layer is saturated.
