资源简介:
A recent multiyear Jansky VLA legacy program, the CaltechNRAO Stripe 82 Survey(CNSS), revealed several radio transient sources on timescales of 520 years, largely associated with renewed AGN activity. The rates of such AGN possiblyimply episodes of enhanced accretion and jet activity occurring once every40,000 years in these galaxies. Since Xrays may originate from the base ofrelativistic jets, we expect Xray flares to be associated with the radiobrightening. The proposed observations could then result in the first Xraydetection of the .changing look.
