The effects of toroidal flows on ballooning mode instabilities are studied by using the plasma equilibrium under the influence of the toroidal flow is reconstructed by solving the modified Grad–Shafranov equation numerically fixing the profiles of the quasi-toroidal magnetic field, quasi-density, and quasi-pressure from EAST data.
