VPRS 11810 Snowy Trader Records [Records Not Transferred]

This series consists of files relating to the work of the Snowy Trader which was the division of the Trading Group responsible for selling energy entitlement directly into wholesale pool. This arrangement was only to be short term and was intended to terminate with commencement of the national market around 1996/1997. This function is now carried out by another agency. The Trading Group, administered by the Traders Executive, was the division of the SECV Office of the Administrator responsible for trading in electricity for the wholesale market, Portland and Point Henry Smelters, Loy Yang B Power Station, and other remaining liabilities of the SECV Office of the Administrator.These files include: reports; analytical data and reference files (water management; inflow; storage); correspondence; draft reports.
