1996 Census of Population [Canada] Public Use Microdata Files (PUMF): Individuals File

<p>The 1996 Census public use microdata file (PUMF) on families contains data based on a 2.8% sample of the population enumerated in the census. It provides information on the demographic, social and economic characteristics of the Canadian population. </p> <p>Four new questions were added in 1996: Aboriginal self-reporting, population group, unpaid activities, and method of tranportation used to get to work.</p>
