Analysis of human dermal fibroblast response to sweat stimulation. Homo sapiens

Many patients of atopic dermatitis or cholinergic urticaria are known to show hypersensitivity to self-sweat, and it is known that in these diseases, sweat leaks into the tissue surrounding the sweat glands in the skin due to poor expression of Claudin-3, which constitutes the tight junctions of the sweat gland epithelium. It has been reported that sweat contains cytokines such as IL-1alpha, IL-1beta, and IL-31. The aim of this study is to comprehensively analyze the changes in gene expression in dermal fibroblasts (NHDFs) when they are exposed to sweat using RNA-seq, leading to elucidation of the pathology of these diseases.
