How New Quality Productivity Drives China's Sustainable Development

Sustainability scholarship has long sought to identify mechanisms that reconcile economic growth with environmental integrity and social equity. However, existing research often treats productivity and sustainability as parallel domains, overlooking how innovation-driven productivity shifts can become a catalyst for integrated sustainable development. This study addresses this gap by introducing “New Quality Productivity” as a unifying framework that bridges technological, ecological, and institutional dimensions, specifically examining its dynamic role in advancing China’s sustainable development over 23 years (2000–2022).
