资源简介:
The Veterans Curation Program utilizes the standard archival practice of unique naming of collections. The purpose of this practice is to avoid redundant and confusing collection names commonly found with archaeological investigations. Therefore, this collection is referred to as "Omussee Creek Park (1HE4) 1977.” This name is consistent throughout the finding aid, the file folders, and the box labels. The extent of this collection is two-tenths (0.2) of a linear inch. On the exterior of the original artifact box that contained the Omussee Creek Park (1HE4) 1977 investigation there was a box number, “0228,” stamped on a sticker. This was the Columbus Museum box number. There was also a box label that indicated that the contents were from “1HE4.” In addition, a box inventory form was included inside the box and paper tags were included in artifact bags, both placed there by Brockington and Associations during a NAGPRA inventory conducted in 1998. There were artifact inventory documents found in the one artifact box. The documents were copied onto acid free paper. An archives collection was created for these copied documents. The original inventory documents were stored in re-sealable, 4-mil polyethylene bags and remain with the artifact collection.
