Harnessing Artificial Intelligence to Elevate Educational Quality in Public Universities: A Systematic Review

This study analyzes the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on improving educational quality in public universities, highlighting the challenges and opportunities associated with its implementation. Through a systematic literature review following the PRISMA protocol, 22 relevant studies were selected from databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, EBSCO, and ProQuest. The results show that AI has significant potential to personalize learning, optimize educational management, and increase administrative efficiency in public universities. However, implementation faces significant barriers, including the need for advanced technological infrastructure, adequate teacher training, and ethical data management, particularly regarding privacy and equitable access. The conclusions emphasize the importance of educational policies that promote the equitable adoption of AI and the adaptation of existing pedagogical frameworks. Furthermore, the study suggests the need for future research to expand the analysis to diverse socioeconomic and cultural contexts.
