RNA-seq of classical and intermediate monocytes from people with osteoarthritis pain

In this study, blood was collected from human participants with osteoarthritis pain, along with radiographic scores (Kellgren & Lawrence Score (KL)) and pain scores (Numerical Rating Scale (NRS)). Peripheral blood mononuclear cells were isolated from whole blood, and classical and intermediate monocytes were further isolated using fluorescence-activated cell sorting. mRNA was then extracted from monocytes for sequencing.
