We sequenced 150 bp paired-end Illumina reads to collect ultraconserved elements (UCE) from museum specimens of neotropical deer Mazama temama. Our goal was to determine their phylogenetic relationships with other deer species and explore intraspecific variation. Additionally, we sequenced raw reads of Odocoileus pandora and Odocoileus virginianus.
