Etlingera elatior Genome sequencing

Etlingera elatior or torch ginger is a moncot plants that its flower is utilized as flower vasing and foods. Also, many flower colors of torch ginger including white, red, yellow, orange, and pink indicate high genetic diversity. However, its genome and genetic diversity information has not been established so far. Thi study aims to generate draft genome of E. elatior for utilization in genetic diversity and genome-wide association study in the future.
