Evaluation of global gene expression in regenerate tissues during Masquelet treatment

We present RNAseq data obtained from tissues harvested directly from rat segmental osteotomies managed using the Masquelet induced membrane technique or left empty. Overall design: Rats received bilateral osteotomies that were stabilized with a plate. One osteotomy was left empty (control). A PMMA cement spacer was inserted into the defect of the contralateral limb as per the Masquelet induced membrane protocol. After 4 weeks of healing, two different comparable tissue types were harvested from each of the two osteotomy environments.
