资源简介:
It is essential to develop new routes for H2 production with less amount of C1 emission. We created a new route for selective ethanol reforming towards H2 and acetic acid at low temperature, preserving most of the carbon species in value-added liquid products. By precisely tailoring the atomic Pt/Ir species on α-MoC, we successfully preserve the C-C bond in ethanol and promote the reforming of C-H bond in -CH2- with the abundant -OH groups at the metal-support interface with high activity and selectivity. We request 5 days on TOSCA to study the binding dynamics of ethanol and intermediates over the exceptional catalyst (PtIr/MoC). The proposed study will investigate the vibrational spectroscopy of the catalyst, adsorption of guest ethanol and H2O molecules and any possible reaction intermediates on active sites. This study aims to reveal the role of Pt/Ir sites in binding and activation of guest molecules, giving key insights into the efficient H2 production.
