资源简介:
This package contains data from two online surveys conducted by Qualtrics in Indonesia. The first survey data (N=1050) was collected in March/April, 2022. Respondents lived in large urban centres in Indonesia, were aged 18 to 40 years, married, living with their spouse, had at least one child aged under 18 years and had at least a junior secondary school education. 75\% of the sample were high school educated and 25% were tertiary educated. 50% were male and 50% were female. This survey collects demographic information and information on social norms around women's work. The second sample (N=4,478) was collected in July, 2022. The eligibility for the sample was the same as in the first sample. The survey collects similar information on gender norms and implements a randomised trial with three treatment arms. Treatment arm 1 - respondents received information on the level of support among similar women for married women with children under 12 working for pay outside the home. Treatment arm 2 - respondents received the above information and information on the extent of men's support for sharing day-to-day childcare with their wives. Treatment arm 3 - respondents received the above two forms of information and information on the extent of support among older women (in their mothers' and mothers-in-law's generation) for women with children working. The control group received none of the above information.
