Gene expression level in Aedes aegypti midgut four days post blood fed or Zika virus infection in single cell level

Mosquito midgut is the first tissue encounter the virus. We apply single cell RNA sequencing to investigate the gene difference in cell level between blood fed and Zika virus infected midgut. Overall design: We collected 50 Aedes aegypti female midgut from blood fed and from Zika virus contained blood at 4 days post infection. Single cell was isolated from the midgut tissue and proceed to scRNAseq with both oligo dT and Zika virus RT primer. Result was analyze the transcript difference between different cell type under virus infection.
