资源简介:
This dataset contains the raw data used in the study titled "The ability of predatory mites to cope with the woven nests of exotic bamboo spider mites."In the experiments, five adult females of the bamboo spider mites (Stigmaeopsis longus or S. celarius) were allowed to build nests for 0, 24, or 72 hours. After this nesting period, a single adult female predatory mite—either Neoseiulus cucumeris, Phytoseiulus persimilis, or Typhlodromus bambusae (used as a control for the other two predators)—was introduced into the arena. All predatory mites had been starved for 24 hours prior to introduction. After 24 hours of interaction, the following variables were recorded:Number of adult females preyed upon (preyed_adults)Number of surviving adult females (survived_adults)Number of females that died from other causes (watered_adults, dead_adults)Number of eggs preyed upon (preyed_eggs)Number of surviving eggs (survived_eggs)Number of eggs that died from other causes (dead_eggs)Number of eggs laid by predator outside nests (eggs_ of_predator_outside_nest)Number of eggs laid by predator inside nests (eggs_ of_predator_inside_nest)Predator codes:TB = Typhlodromus bambusaeNC = Neoseiulus cucumerisPP = Phytoseiulus persimilisFile descriptions:longus_cucumeris.csv: S. longus as prey; N. cucumeris or T. bambusae as predatorlongus_persimilis.csv: S. longus as prey; P. persimilis or T. bambusae as predatorcelarius_cucumeris.csv: S. celarius as prey; N. cucumeris or T. bambusae as predatorcelarius_persimilis.csv: S. celarius as prey; P. persimilis or T. bambusae as predator
