Iron mineral evolution as an important geobiological driver of deep-time carbon sequestration in coal systems
This dataset includes previously published geochemical data from the Yinshan Orogenic Belt, as well as new data on proximate analyses, total sulfur contents, vitrinite random reflectance, microscopic maceral compositions, organic carbon isotope values, and major element concentrations of coal samples. The geochemical data from the Yinshan Orogenic Belt cover Neoarchean granitoids, Neoarchean–Paleoproterozoic granitoids, Paleoproterozoic granitoids, and Paleoproterozoic diorites. The specific sources of these published data are listed in the caption of Figure 4. Together, these datasets provide constraints on the provenance of iron in the Qinshui Basin.
