Oceanographic data obtained from a subsurface mooring in the southern Bay of Bengal during December 2019‒April 2021

The dataset comprises two sets of data obtained from ADCP observations conducted by a subsurface mooring (Q11, 89.98°E, 5.50°N) in the southern Bay of Bengal during the JAMES cruise. It consists of profiles of intrathermocline EKE during December 2019‒ April 2021 and mean velocity recorded during January‒March 2020. This dataset is valuable for analyzing the enhancement of intrathermocline EKE in response to extreme positive Indian Ocean Dipole events.
