Grapevine3D: A Whole-Plant Architecture Dataset of Grapevine
收藏资源简介:
We present Grapevine3D, a comprehensive dataset comprising high-resolution whole-plant architectural data of grapevines grafted onto three different rootstock genotypes and collected during the early phases of vineyard establishment. Grapevine3D encompasses 3D data of 96 grapevines captured at four distinct timepoints (3, 6, 15, and 18 months after planting) during the 2023–2024 growing seasons in Geisenheim, Rheingau Valley, Germany. The dataset includes raw data files in .txt format for both above-ground (shoot and leaf) and below-ground (root) architectures, corresponding RSML files capturing root topology, and .vtp files for 3D visualization. This spatially and temporally detailed dataset enables in-depth analyses of vine growth dynamics and rootstock genotype-specific architectural traits, offering valuable insights for both conventional phenotyping studies and modeling approaches. We plan to update Grapevine3D with additional measurements such as carbohydrate analyses—and extend the dataset with architectural data from mature grapevines. By releasing this dataset, we invite fellow researchers to utilize Grapevine3D for further investigation into grapevine architecture and to contribute to the collective advancement of modeling in perennial cropping systems.
