High-speed rail investment share by EU country 2000-2017

Between 2000 and 2017, Spain contributed the greatest share of co-funding toward the construction of EU high-speed rail infrastructure at just under 50 percent. Germany, Italy, and France – which, with Spain, boast the longest high-speed rail networks in the EU – also ranked highly in terms of their contribution to the EU high-speed rail network.
