资源简介:

This dataset contains anthropometric, hematological, biochemical, and dietary data collected from 233 healthy young men aged 18–30 years. The study aimed to investigate the relationships between physical activity level, dietary inflammatory potential, and systemic inflammatory biomarkers in a population of healthy adults. Participants were categorized into three groups according to their habitual level of physical activity: NA – low physical activity (non-active individuals), A – moderate physical activity (students participating in mandatory physical education classes), S – high physical activity (students engaged in additional structured sports training). The dataset includes variables describing anthropometry, body composition, hematological parameters, inflammatory biomarkers, muscle damage markers, and dietary inflammatory potential. Anthropometric and body composition measurements include body mass, body height, body mass index (BMI), fat mass, fat-free mass (FFM), basal metabolic rate (BMR), waist-to-height ratio (WHtR), and waist-to-hip ratio (WHR). Body composition was assessed using bioelectrical impedance analysis. Biochemical and hematological variables include complete blood count parameters as well as selected inflammatory and muscle damage biomarkers, including high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), serum amyloid A (SAA), and creatine kinase (CK). Dietary intake was assessed using 4-day food records, and the Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII) was calculated based on nutrient intake using the methodology proposed by Shivappa et al. The dataset was used to examine associations between lifestyle factors and systemic inflammation in young adult men. It supports analyses of the relationships between dietary inflammatory potential, physical activity level, body composition, and circulating inflammatory markers. The data were collected as part of a research project conducted at the Józef Piłsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw, Poland, and were used in the study: "Dietary Inflammatory Index and Blood Inflammatory Markers in Young Men with Different Levels of Physical Activity." All participants provided informed consent, and the study protocol was approved by the institutional ethics committee. The dataset is provided for research and educational purposes, enabling secondary analyses of lifestyle-related determinants of inflammation and metabolic health in young adults.
