The SFI++ dataset was developed collaboratively by the Naval Research Laboratory and other partnering institutions. It contains catalogs of luminosity and rotational properties for 4861 astronomical fields and galaxy clusters, as well as Tully-Fisher distances and peculiar velocities derived from these properties. This dataset utilizes digital optical images, optical long-slit spectroscopy, and global HI line profiles to extract parameters related to disk scaling relations, and incorporates multiple previously published datasets along with approximately 2000 new luminosity samples. Individual galaxies are assigned to groups and galaxy clusters via a modified percolation algorithm and Voronoi-Delaunay method, thereby reducing scatter induced by local orbital motions. Additionally, corrections for both homogeneous and inhomogeneous Malmquist bias are provided, with the density field from the 2MASS Redshift Survey used to approximate large-scale structure. The SFI++ dataset is applicable not only to studies of the global statistical properties of large-scale flows, but also to investigations of the details of the local velocity field.
