Data File Name: 2020 Jiangsu Province Permanent Population Distribution Dataset.
This dataset is produced strictly in accordance with relevant data processing standards, stored in raster TIF format, with a spatial resolution of 1km × 1km, and the projected coordinate system is Krasovsky_1940_Albers. It provides refined spatial distribution data of permanent population in Jiangsu Province for relevant researchers.
The production workflow is as follows: Firstly, based on 1km × 1km China Unicom mobile signaling data, we determine whether a mobile user is a permanent resident within the service coverage of the same telecommunication base station by verifying if the user has resided in the coverage of that base station during the night rest period for more than 15 consecutive days, thereby deriving the accurate and fine-grained spatial distribution pattern of permanent population at the large regional scale. Secondly, magnitude calibration is performed on the permanent population dataset using the statistical yearbook data of prefecture-level cities based on the aforementioned spatial distribution pattern. Finally, the 1km × 1km raster-based spatial distribution data of permanent population is obtained.
