Fine scale genetic analysis of marine picocyanobacteria for surface waters at the San Pedro Time-Series (SPOT) site. Monthly SPOT cyanobacterial ITS analysis

This project contains high throughput Illumina sequencing data of the cyanobacteria ITS locus for surface (0 or 5 m) communities at the San Pedro Time-Series (SPOT) site. Sampling was done on a monthly basis. Indexed and barcoded ITS primers were used to specifically amplify Prochlorococcus and Synechococcus ITS sequences from DNA samples collected on 0.22 µm filters (following an AE prefilter).
