Diseases caused by microorganisms are a great problem in agricultural crops. Streptomyces spp correspond to an important bacterial genus with production of secondary metabolites with relevance biotechnological importance. This project aims to isolate and characterize at a phenotypic and genotypic level promising species of Streptomyces from banana tree rhizosphere for use as plant growth promoters and microbial disease control that affect agriculture.
