VPRS 12348 Register of Licensed Crane Drivers (Records Not Transferred)

The Lifts and Cranes Act 1967 (No.7629) provided for the safe construction, installation and use of lifts, cranes and amusement structures.In this regard, it provided for:- the appointment of inspectors and provision for inspections;- the issue of certificates of competency to lift mechanics, crane drivers and riggers;- safety precautions to be taken in the manufacture and installation of lifts, cranes and amusement structures;- safety precautions in the operation of lifts, cranes and amusement structures; and- registrations of lifts, cranes and amusement structures.This series consists of volumes that register the suitably qualified crane drivers. A certificate of competency was issued bearing the registration number. The information recorded includes:- date of entry- certificate number, and- crane driver's name and date of birth.
