Whole-genome resequencing of Trichoderma simmonsii

This study aims to conduct whole-genome resequencing of Trichoderma simmonsii, a fungus isolated from an industrial wasteland in Vieux-Charmont, France by the Chrono-environment laboratory (University Franche-Comte). As part of the EU HORIZON-BIOSYSMO project, this research seeks to elucidate the genetic mechanisms underlying the metal tolerance of T. simmonsii. By comprehensively analyzing its genome, the study intends to identify genes and pathways that contribute to its resilience in contaminated environments, providing insights that could advance bioremediation strategies and improve our understanding of fungal adaptation to extreme conditions.
