European Parliamentary Election in Denmark 1989 is a separate survey carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute and an international group of researchers in which Torben Worre participated for Denmark. # #The following information was collected by the Danish Gallup Institute and it constitutes the usual background material for Gallup's omnibus surveys: #The respondent's sex, age and marital status; size of the household and number of adults (15 years or more) and children in the household, and age of the children; the respondent's position in the household; the respondent's education, occupational status and income; total income of the household; occupational status of the housewife; type of dwelling and ownership of the dwelling as well as geographical location and degree of urbanization; the respondent's newspaper reading habits; habits as regards weeklies, monthlies, etc.; which party the respondent voted for at the last general election; and which party the respondent would vote for at a general election on the day after the interview. # #Data for the special questions in this survey were collected by the Danish Gallup Institute on behalf of an international group of researchers. The special questions deal with such issues as: # #Considerations in connection with the European Parliamentary Election in 1989 and the time when the respondent decided which party she/he would vote for; the respondent's attitude to the EC co-operation and party preference at the election; whether the respondent is satisfied with her/his own life; expectations of the future; attitude to democracy; the most important goals for Denmark; which media the respondent received the best EC information from in connection with the European Parliamentary Election; TV coverage of the election campaign; the respondent's opinion of which political institutions influence the respondent's life; the most important problems which should be solved; areas and problems which the EC countries should co-operate on solving and which problems should be solved by the separate member countries; expectations as regards the coming into being of the Single European Market; knowledge of institutions and events in the EC; age; sex; occupation; composition of the household; membership of a political party and/or a trade union; and the respondent's religious affiliation
