Data Overview This dataset comprises raw intracranial electroencephalography (iEEG) recordings acquired from the primary somatosensory cortex (S1) of 5XFAD transgenic mice and wild-type (WT) littermates. Animals were stratified into three age groups to model progressive stages of Alzheimer’s disease: young (preclinical stage), adult (clinical stage), and old (advanced pathology). The data support investigations into electrophysiological biomarkers associated with disease progression and are shared in compliance with the ARRIVE guidelines and the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). Experimental Specifications The data files below show intracranial electroencephalography (iEEG) recordings from somatosensory cortex area of young, adult and old, 5XFAD mice and controls. The recording settings are as follows: Recording software: LabVIEW Biomedical Toolkit (v2012; National Instruments; RRID:SCR_014325) Sampling frequency: 2000 Hz Amplifier: AC GRASS 78D, gain = ×8000 Filters applied: 0.3–1000 Hz band-pass; 50 Hz notch Voltage range: ±5.00 V Channel count: 1 (monopolar iEEG) File format: .dat Recording duration: 2 hours per file (continuous) Recordings were obtained under standardized, artifact-minimized conditions. All procedures adhered to approved ethical protocols. File Naming and Group Allocation File names correspond to individual mouse IDs as indicated in Supplementary Table 1 of the associated publication. Group allocation is as follows: WT young (n=9): WTY_01, WTY_02, WTY_03, WTY_05, WTY_06, WTY_07, WTY_09, WTY_10 and WTY_11. 5XFAD young (n=9): TGY_01, TGY_02, TGY_04, TGY_05, TGY_06, TGY_07, TGY_09, TGY_10 and TGY_12. WT adult (n=6): WGA_01, WGA_02, WGA_03, WGA_04, WGA_05 and WGA_07. 5XFAD adult (n=6): TGA_01, TGA_02, TGA_05, TGA_06, TGA_08 and TGA_09. WT old (n=5): WTO_01, WTO_02, WTO_03, WTO_05 and WTO_06. 5XFAD old (n=3): TGO_01, TGO_02 and TGO_04. Data Use and Citation To ensure the ethical use of animal-derived data, access to this dataset is restricted. Data will be made available upon reasonable request to the corresponding author, in accordance with institutional and ethical guidelines governing the use of experimental animals.This dataset is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license, which allows re-distribution and re-use of the dataset on the condition that the creator is appropriately credited.
