Understanding the trends, clustering, and risk factors of pinworm infection in preschool settings: a repeated cross-sectional multi-center study in 2019-2024

This dataset presents a six-year (2019-2024) cross-sectional survey of pinworm (Enterobius vermicularis) infection among 27,925 children aged 2-7 years from 108 preschools across 45 prefectural cities in Jiangsu Province, China. Method: transparent adhesive tape perianal swab collected once early morning before washing, examined by light microscopy for pinworm eggs. Variables: year, city, county, preschool, urban/rural, sex, age, infection status (0/1), ID, etc. Spatial coverage: 108 preschools across 45 prefectural cities in Jiangsu Province. File format: README.txt (UTF-8). De-identification: children names removed.
