Thermal hysteresis in CHO K1, a Chinese Hamster (Cricetulus griseus) Ovary derived established cell line

The CHO K1 cells were maintained in Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium Nutrient Mixture F-12 (DMEM/F-12) (Gibco, Paisley, UK) with 10% dialyzed fetal bovine serum (FBS) (SAFC Biosciences, Lenexa, KS). For the hysteresis examination, the culture temperature was changed iteratively: 37 Celsius degree (over 24 hours), 33 Celsius degree (8 hours), 29 Celsius degree (8 hours), 27 Celsius degree (8 hours), 29 Celsius degree (8 hours), 33 Celsius degree (8 hours) and 37 Celsius degree (8 hours). Samples were obtained at 29 Celsius degree, 27 Celsius degree and 29 Celsius degree. 4 samples were obtained for each condition. We prepared a library of CHO K1 for RNA-seq using a commercial kit (TruSeq RNA Sample Kit, Illumina, San Diego, CA, USA) in accordance with the manufacturer's protocol.
