Gardnerycteris keenani (Keenan's hairy-nosed bat) genome, mGarKee1, sequence data

Keenan's hairy-nosed bat (Gardnerycteris keenani) is a bat species in the family Phyllostomidae. This sample of a male individual found in Orange Walk District, Lamanai, Belize was procured by Nancy Simmons to generate a high-quality reference genome for Bat1K and the Bat Biology Foundation. Sequencing was conducted at Paratus Sciences and genome assembly was conducted at the Vertebrate Genome Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Erich D. Jarvis, Giulio Formenti, and Jennifer Balacco.
